Password Requirements
Lancaster Mennonite account passwords must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 8 characters long
- Must contain at least three of these character types: capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, symbols
- Must not include any part of your name or username
- Must not be a password you have used previously
Employees -- Additional Security
Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for additional security:
Enabling multi-factor authentication helps prevent unauthorized access to your account by requiring a second authentication factor, like a code delivered by text message or a mobile app, to log in from unfamiliar locations. The mobile app method provides the simplest and most seamless login experience, and is the best method if you have a smartphone.
MFA setup with mobile app:
- First, download the Microsoft Authenticator app to your mobile phone: Apple Android
- On your computer, click here: MFA Setup
- If prompted, sign in with your email address and password
- When you see "More information required" or "Your organization needs more information to keep your account secure", click Next
- Under "How should we contact you?", choose Mobile app
- Select Receive notifications for verification and click Set up
- In the Authenticator app on your mobile phone, add a new account
- Choose Work or school account
- Using your phone, scan the QR code image displayed on your computer screen, or manually enter the 9-digit numerical code displayed below the image
- On your computer, click Next
- Complete verification in the mobile app, then click Next again
- On your computer, enter your mobile phone number so that you can regain access to your account if you have difficulty with the mobile app and click Done
- At the next screen, you'll see a summary of the settings you just configured. You can simply close the window, or you can choose to add additional authentication methods like office phone or home phone.
If you have trouble configuring MFA, you would like to disable MFA for your account, or if you lost or replaced your mobile phone and can no longer log in, please contact support@lancastermennonite.org for assistance.
